Over $1.3 million raised through our employee giving campaign

Community

Caring about the communities where our employees live and work is core to who we are. Our annual employee giving campaign raised over $1.3 million for organizations that mean the most to our team.

Doubling our impact

Our giving campaign is about choice—empowering employees to support causes that are meaningful to them.

Throughout the campaign, donations are matched 100% by the Campbell Soup Foundation, doubling the support and impact of these organizations in the communities we call home.

Why we care

2,113 employees participated in this year’s campaign. Hear from a few of our team members who helped drive engagement across 100% of our locations and learn what inspired them to give back:

Jeanette Barr, Maintenance Stockroom Clerk, Salem, Oregon Plant

Our Salem plant runs 24/7 making Kettle Brand and Cape Cod chips. To help get more employees to donate, Jeanette coordinated speakers from local community organizations to present throughout the 5:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 9:00 p.m. shifts—a true scheduling feat. It helped increase employee participation in Salem by 69%!

As a lifelong lover of lions, Jeanette is giving to the WildCat Ridge Sanctuary to help provide a safe environment for big cats.

Candice Nguyen, Social Media Coordinator, Integrated Marketing

Putting her social media expertise to work, Candice created a video about the giving campaign to spread the word to employees.

Where is she giving? Ronald McDonald House Southern New Jersey, a place where she volunteered as a kid.

Chad Johnston, Human Resources Manager, Paris, Texas Plant

Raised by his grandparents who are active volunteers in his hometown, Chad learned from a young age to give back to his community. That’s why he proudly donated to the United Way of Lamar County, which supports many organizations in Paris, Texas.

“The way our employees gave from their hearts throughout the campaign has been overwhelming to see. It makes me so proud to live and work in Lamar County.”

Sharon Bromell Covington, Human Resources Generalist, Charlotte, North Carolina Bakery

Sharon from our Charlotte, North Carolina bakery donated to Sickle Cell Partners of the Carolinas in memory of her brother. She knows what it means to be in need, so giving back to better the lives of people in her community is extremely important to her.

“As a campaign ambassador, I came across several employees who may not have had a lot to give but were determined to give what was possible. It really made me appreciate the caliber of people I work with every day.”

– Sharon Bromell Covington, Human Resources Generalist, Charlotte, North Carolina Bakery
Charles Griffin, Research Scientist, Research & Development

Charles from our Research & Development (R&D) team strives to pay it forward. That’s why he became an ambassador of our giving campaign and worked to come up with creative ideas like raffles and a Care Card Wall to encourage his R&D colleagues to participate.

Where is he giving this year? The American Cancer Society, Wounded Warrior Project, The Food Bank of South Jersey, St. John Baptist Church, and Cathedral Kitchen—just to name a few!

Kelly Glover, Corporate Administrative Assistant, Campbell Canada

Kelly and our Campbell Canada team created a fund that supports causes important to our Canadian team: mental health, food security, children’s health, and indigenous people support. It made it simple for employees to support numerous organizations making a difference in Canada. Over 50% of our Canadian team participated in the campaign—one of our corporate offices with the highest engagement!
